a living space between craftsmanship and design

Welcome to Nyu Domo, where the window space observes a piece of heavens embraced by the surrounding valley, herds of sheep in transit, horses, cows and foxes. The unforgettable and relaxing night song of the European Scoops Owl.

The creation of this B&B can be characterized by a meticulous attention to detail, which was precisely what was needed to create this small loft in the center of Sardinia. Our goals was to create in a small space of 60 square meters, a large opening that determined the living space, areas dedicated to an open living space that could co-exist perfectly with a creative boutique of Sardinian craftsmanship and an architectural studio. Nyu Domo is also this: a workshop of constant conceptual design, in which over the years, pieces have been studied and designed here and inserted in the interior of this space.

Nyu Domo is also “new” or “nìu”, meaning nest in Sardinian. Similar to the large rush fishing net that adorns the ceiling.

The ladders are made of elaborated iron and they bring oneself to the loft level where the guests find two large and comfortable beds.

The Nyu Domo B&B was developed to host people who could sleep and stay, practically on the inside of a craftsman’s workshop, visible from the bed and breakfast and if they desired, observe the art of hand weaving. The constant work and research of Bea and her Tessuti Diversi line, where they could walk and transport themselves through time: in just 30 seconds you will find yourself in an old walking path still lined by stone walls that connects the historic center of Sedilo with the countryside, at another 50 seconds you can find the “Meditating Nuraghe” the panoramic bastion from the Bronze Age where you can sit and observe in silence and contemplate the view and the surrounding valley with its agricultural activity, listening to the harmonious and pleasing sounds of sheep bells.
